Werner Aisslinger was born in 1964, and studied at the Hochshule der Kunste in Berlin. He collaborated with Jasper Morrison and Ron Arad in London and Michele De Lucchi in Milan.
In 1993 he founded the Aisslinger studio in Berlin, specializing in product design and brand architecture. He teaches at the University of Arts in Berlin, the Lahti Design Institute in Finland and the Design College (Hochschule für Gestaltung) in Karlsruhe.
He has received many acknowledgements including a selection for the Compasso d’Oro in Italy. His works have been shown in many museums.
He collaborates with companies such as: Cappellini, Stilwerk, Porro, Magis, Zanotta, Daimler Chrysler, Jaguar, Bertelsmann, ZDF, Vitra.
For Fornasarig he has designed the Gap chair.
