Sturmundplastic was created in 1998 as the furnishings division of the long‐established store mannequin manufacturer, La Rosa S.p.a.

A range of young, fresh furnishings with a desire to amaze and evoke vivid childhood memories. Furnishings for everyday use, the fruit of a dialogue between design research and usage‐specific design. A range of furnishing accessories characterised by an ability to change and to enchant consumers accustomed to a panorama of ʺasepticʺ accessories tied to functional limits or characterless expressions.

Taking a poetic approach and with a clear aptitude for materials research, has developed a range of designs which continue in the wake of its introduction of unusual materials.

Gigi Rigamonti, founder and designer of several pieces in the collection, gives free rein to a sense of humour which very often transforms design strategies into paradoxes, pushing them to their extreme.

…but the real feather in the firmʹs cap goes back a long way, to its year of founding, when it was formally decided that Sturm und Plastic would use only Recyclable Clear Plastic!
