Shin Azumi develops projects for products, furniture, lighting design, electronics, restaurant interiors, retail stores, exhibitions. His design is characterized by his careful analysis and observation of phenomena in addition to the distillation, purification and simplification of his final ideas.
He has won awards in Europe and Japan.
He works for many companies including: La Palma, Magis, Guzzini, Desalto, Habitat, Isokon, Authentics, Muji, Biegel. Many of his projects are exhibited in Design Museum in London, Victoria & Albert in the UK and Vitra Design Museum in Germany. He is a visiting lecturer at universities of design and architecture.
For Fornasarig he has designed the Dress chair.
