The design collective “No Problem,” the only Danish participant in the international furniture fair Salone Internazionale del Mobile – Salone Satellite in Milan, have presented four furniture designs that solve a series of everyday problems.
We can all readily agree that design is about form, aesthetics and identity. And it is! But design is so much more – it is intrinsically concerned with the solving of problems.
This becomes even more important in a time when we have become more conscious of how we utilize our resources – both environmental and financial. There is a real need for functional and durable solutions that can challenge the “use-it-and-lose-it” culture of the furniture industry.
If the design is thoughtful on both the functional and aesthetic level, the furniture piece will endure and live longer, sparing both the pocketbook and the environment.
No Problem creates furniture that fulfils needs; designs that facilitate everyday life, solve problems and deliver a long-lasting aesthetic statement at a reasonable cost.
