Born in Lyon in 1980, Julien BERNARD (alias Luc SWEN) become interested in creation at a young age. Already at the age of 7, he started the Kandinsky School of applied Art of Lyon (Corbas), where he stayed for 10 years before taking a new direction towards another future by obtaining his degree in mechanical engineering in 1997 in Lyon, followed by a higher diploma in production management in 2000 at the University of Annecy. He acquired his experience in the car industry field. But his desire for discovery of new things pushed him to go abroad : Having arrived in Switzerland in 2004, he worked for a manufacturer of writing instruments. The change was radical, in this job, we talk about the craftmanship in the service of the artist. But then a wonderful encounters changed the course of his life by pushing him to become what he always wanted to be : a creator. Convinced, he began studies in industrial design at the Ecole Athenauem of Lausanne during which he received an award and a special distinction for the design of his watch Champs Elysees for the ROAMER company. Actually student in Master of Design and Luxury at ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne), Julien Bernard has presented the Tangram Sofa and Chantier at the SaloneSatellite 2009.
