Julia Modolo, 24 years old, Italo-Swiss, comes from La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland and has been living for ten years in Lausanne. She met Jean-Philippe Bonzon in the first place and it was at Ecal (Cantonal Art School in Lausanne) that she also became friendly with Gaële Girault and Sven Tugwell. Recently graduated from Ecal (July 2007) in industrial design and products, she lives and works between Milan and Lausanne.

During these past years, she has exhibited her work at the Vitra’s Store in New York, at Elac in Lausanne, at the Swiss Le Corbusier pavilion in Paris, MUDAC (Museum of contemporary design and applied arts) in Lausanne, in Cologne (IMM, Köln messe) and at the Satellite Fair in Milan.

She will exhibit in Milan this year her “Nodo” project, a wall-mounted reading lamp, inspired by the nautical world.
