In 1965, after learning how to run a business by experience, Mr. Umberto Cardinali took over a share of the IFI Ironweed registered stock, an artisan firm specialized in the production of equipment and furniture made to measure..

In the second half of the Sixties took place the big and original transformation of IFI's market proposal concerning the coffee-houses interior design: realizing furniture by industrial conception.

Mr. Umberto Cardinali, assisted by a selected group of managers, launched the first industrial production of bar counters and introduced the same on the market: customers understood immediately the quality, reliability and competitivencess of the new idea.
IFI constituted a step forward becoming the leader among those companies which would adopt this theory.
Since then IFI has been the uncontested leader of this market thanks to the masterly combination between wood processing - together with industrial technology for steel processing - and advanced research in the refrigeration sector.

In 1972 was inaugurated the factory of Tavullia (Pesaro), whose area was equal to 19.000 square meters, in 1986 were purchased 10.000 square meters more which permitted to IFI to prepare also a large and exclusive permanent showroom.

With the passing of time IFI has acquired market shares thanks to its strategy of production specialization for the reference market.

Thanks to its logic IFI is the holding company of a group of firms operating in the field of interior design and public commercial concern in order to offer perfect and widespread service.
