AXO Light, born in 1996, has created a collection characterised by style, international charm, young design,
elegance and a vocation for experimenting with shapes and materials. Qualities that also describe the AXO
Light team which, in more than ten years, has been able to use their passion and enthusiam to create a
distribution network at an international level and capture important market shares that are continually
increasing.
AXO Light’s collection is a ‘cultured’ one, because for the company illumination is primarily a cultural, rather
than technical fact; a critical action that possesses a strongly evocative and expressive power that is rendered
concrete in an emotional state with which light is naturally embued. This is why in the AXO Light collection
form and quality combine to create lighting tools with original and innovative content, in which sensitivity and
perception blend with a scientfic approach and the application of avant-garde techniques and technology. The
company’s sources of inspiration are always taken from reality, have an everyday life and create satisfaction
and well-being; whether this is the fascination of the Japanese Obi tradition or the rigour of precision
mechanical engineering exploited in AX 20; the natural floral forms of Blum or the nordic transparency of
Subzero. Emotion, in all its forms, is what Axo Light always tries to communicate in its creations.
AXO Light’s priorites are quality, which it expresses in its refined creations made in Italy, research into
technical solutions and materials to create avant-garde design systems, and design harmony. AXO Light uses
natural material such as blown glass, Vicenza stone, bamboo and silk, and techniques that are drawn from
expert craftsmanship. The company also applies this methodological approach to energy saving and
protecting the environment.
In order to achieve their aims, AXO Light has a close collaboration with numerous designers, including Manuel
Vivian, who has a particularly close relationship with the company and has designed numerous lights in the
collection, Dodo Arslan, Marcello Furlan, Letizia Mammini and Valeria Candido, Sandro Santantonio.
